2017 saw the Business School agree new Graduate Profiles for each of our qualifications. All graduates will, during their time at the University of Auckland, have the opportunity to transform themselves as Scholars, Innovators, Leaders and Global Citizens.
As teaching staff, you will be instrumental in helping students develop their capabilities through your courses.
To that end, our first annual learning and teaching symposium will be dedicated to supporting you in the implementation of the Graduate Profile.
Our Forum will fundamentally explore two questions, “What does the new Graduate Profile mean for my course?” and “What do I do to teach to the new Profile?”
It will situate these in three broad contexts:
- the University’s learning and teaching initiatives including assessment, retention, and teacher capability
- the world of work we are preparing students to enter
- and how our majors and programmes deliver the Graduate Profile
As always, our learning and teaching symposia draws staff from across all Faculties and Divisions so the morning tea is always a great chance to catch-up over refreshments with colleagues.
